This class is for the guys! We will explore the fundamental principals of alignment, breath work, and how to incorporate the shape of a pose into the body. Participants will be introduced to yoga poses and sequences through step-by-step verbal instruction and demonstration. This class is designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga, as well as those seeking a continued understanding. We will work through a variety of standing and seated poses that will aim to increase strength, improve flexibility of the hamstrings, calves, shoulders, low back, and chest, as well as to increase mobility in the hips and shoulders. Improving core strength and balance will also be a major focus in this series. At the end of each class, we will practice relaxation techniques to prepare for meditation.
