Intro to Meditation Class
This Intro to Meditation Class will be held on 9/18, 10/2, and 10/16.
In this ever-increasingly busy and loud world, meditation is proving to be quite helpful. It is important that we find quiet spaces where we can turn off the outside world and deeply relax.
And even though meditation is very helpful to us, it also can feel intimidating to some and hard to accomplish at times. Many don’t know where to even start. This class is intended to provide those interested in learning about meditation with information about and direct experiences of several different types of meditation practice.
Greg Burns of Metta Vibrations will lead a class which will discuss meditation and then explore three types of meditation practice: guided meditation, silent meditation, and sound meditation. There will be some theory and discussion but the class primarily offers direct experience with these meditation practices. This class is focused on beginners to meditation but can also be tailored to fit the interests and experience of the attendees.
