Waynesboro native, I found my love for fitness at a young age as a gymnast. During my down time I would turn on my moms VHS tapes of Jane Fonda and memorize her every move. In high school I played volleyball, ran cross country, played tennis, and ran track. I finished my senior year of high school in Utah where I played volleyball and joined the swim team. While attending college at Southern Utah University, I got my AFAA certification and began teaching group fitness and cycling classes. I was married and had our first child in southern Utah. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with a minor in Nutrition. From there, we moved to Wisconsin where I continued to teach. We moved next to Richmond while my husband attended dental school. I taught at Robious Athletic Club and added three more kids to the family. Colorado was our next stop before returning to my roots where baby number five joined our crazy family. While in Waynesboro, I have taught a variety of classes at various gyms, received my Nutrition and Health Coaching certificated from IIN, and pursued various fitness goals. During the fall, I coach forty middle school cross-country runners in our area. I’m excited to continue teaching and growing in my fitness journey here at Phoenix.
