I grew up in the Northern Virginia area but settled in the Shenandoah Valley in 2008. I fell in love with the area while I attended James Madison University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2003. I moved to the Valley for a change of scenery and to be closer to my sister and I haven’t looked back since.
I have been a student of yoga for over 15 years and have always had a passion for teaching. It was during the pandemic where yoga and meditation became such an integral part of my life. In 2021 I found Phoenix Fitness and Yoga as a solution to reach my goals to prepare myself for my upcoming yoga teacher training. In September of 2021 I attended Harmony Yoga School for 2 weeks in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and earned my RYT 200. I now continue to enjoy my yogi journey as a student and a teacher at Phoenix Fitness and Yoga. I look forward to helping others relax, de-stress, feel good in their minds and bodies as well as reach their own personal fitness goals.
When I am not teaching at Phoenix I enjoy spending time with my Husband, 2 cats and 2 dogs and family and friends. I also love to travel, read, kayak, paddleboard and spend as much time as possible at a lake or a beach.
