Most of us have now heard about the wonderful wide-ranging benefits that meditation can bring to us. Both Guided Meditation and Sound Meditation are each practices that are known to easily help individuals achieve an experience of meditative states of mind. Both types of meditation will be offered during Wednesday’s 10 am class at Phoenix Fitness and Yoga Studio, providing a deep meditative experience.

This class will occur every Wednesday morning at 10am in Phoenix Fitness and Yoga studio (downtown).

For this session, we will begin with a Guided Meditation aimed at helping your mind focus through reflection and gain clarity for your intentions. The soothing sounds of Tibetan Singing Bowls will also aid the calming of the mind and body during the guided portion. After the brief guided meditation, participants will be invited to remain in their relaxed position and enjoy a Sound Bath experience including singing bowls, gong, chimes, and more. Tibetan Singing Bowls and the Gong are instruments known to help quiet the mind, relieve stress and tension from the body, and help to calm the nervous system.

No experience needed, this session is geared at helping those without prior experience with meditation, as well as providing a deep, meditative opportunity for experienced practitioners.

Cost for this class is $20.

The Phoenix studio offers mats, blankets, and bolsters for creating a comfortable resting spot. Participants are also welcome to bring any pillows, blankets or mats of their own they would like to use.
